Preconstruction and owner’s project management in New Hampshire
The decisions that set a project’s cost and schedule are made before construction starts. We run preconstruction as its own discipline: pricing, scheduling, phasing and permitting, done early enough to shape the design instead of reacting to it. For owners who want an advocate through design and construction, we act as owner’s project manager. John Myers, Vice President, Planning and Preconstruction, leads the work.
What it includes
- Preconstruction planning, pricing and scheduling
- Owner’s project management
- Permitting
- Coordination with user groups, the people who will use the building
- Phasing and logistics plans
Ayers Lake Campsite, Barrington, New Hampshire
After a 2025 microburst damaged Ayers Lake Campsite in Barrington, Parkhurst Campsite brought us in to recover it. We cleared the site, restored power, water and septic to the cottages, and are now designing and building their replacements. Over this multi-year engagement we manage construction, self-perform the general contracting, represent the owner and carry the permits.
Questions owners ask
What does an owner’s project manager do?
Represents you through design and construction. An owner’s project manager runs the budget, schedule, permits, designers and contractors on your behalf, and reports to you, not to them.
When should we bring NEBG in?
Before the design is finished. Pricing and phasing are worth the most while they can still change the drawings.
